Startup Polariant founded by our master student Hyouk Jang was acquired by Socar.

Polariant, a technology start-up company founded in May 2015 by our master student, Hyouk Jang, was acquired by Socar in April 2019.

Polariant has developed and commercialized a Polarized Light Sensing (PLS) solution, an indoor precision position measurement solution using light polarization. Indoor positioning technology is a technology that can grasp the location and movement route in an underground parking lot, a large shopping mall, an airport, and the like in a room where a location-based service (GPS) is not connected.
